What aspects of this product did you like most?
I love that TenMarks Math has all of the Common Core Standards listed, including the prerequisite standards. It is easy to assign and create assignments for students. I loved that I was able to preview the questions that my students would be asked.
The Reports section is especially helpful [which includes] the Top 3 Common Mistakes. The video lessons are also really great for helping students.
Learning objectives are included for each lesson. Students can work at their own pace, and teachers can designate specific assignments [for individual students].
This is a wonderful resource for supplementing, enriching, or re-teaching math concepts. I like that I can customize this program for each student based on what he or she needs.
How did you make use of this product or integrate it into your lesson plans?
I used TenMarks to differentiate instruction and to help my students [review] certain concepts. When I find that students are having difficulty with a standard, I can assign them an individually modified set of problems to do. I can easily check to see how they did by clicking on the curriculum tab.
I have one-to-one technology at my school. This was easy for my students to use during a common time, and it was tailored to their specific instructional needs.
Would you recommend this book to a teacher at the appropriate grade or age level? Why or why not?
I would recommend TenMarks to colleagues of any grade level. It is so helpful, student friendly, and teacher friendly. I know my colleagues would love to use it in their math block.
I really like this computer math tool. Kids get instant feedback, teachers can create differentiated lessons without a lot of trouble, [and] the standards are right there. I also like that, before you go on to another unit, you can assess [students’] readiness and retest if necessary. I wish we could use this instead of our math curriculum!
Yes. This is a great math product that will help students of all levels and abilities. As a teacher, you create assignments for each student based on his or her needs. You get data feedback and results to help customize [the assignments] even more.
